SNAPMate 7 and SNAPMate 15SNAP Resources has created mobile stations that feature a collaborative robot and can be used with injection molding or CNC machines. Each caster-mounted station has a Fanuc cobot (either a Fanuc CR-7iA/L or CR-15iA), Fanuc R30iB controller, Ready Robotics Forge controller, and an adjustable-height screen for drag-and-drop programming. They can handle a wide variety of tasks, from picking and packing to machine tending, assembly and inspection or palletizing. Operators can quickly program each material handling task with drag-and-drop commands or guide the cobot by hand. Once programmed, tasks can be saved for future use — especially useful for recurring short production runs.

What’s new? The stations. Both debuted at Automate 2019 in April.

Benefits Flexibility. Operators can redeploy a SNAPMate station at different machines once programs have been saved, letting the cobot handle the task unattended. The cobots can be fitted with a wide variety of vacuum pads, vacuum cups and mechanical grippers. Also, SNAP Resources offers a 24/7 service team.
