Nicolet Summit FTIR Designed for quality-control applications, this new spectrometer from Thermo Fisher can identify the molecular components and structures of all types of samples, including solids, liquids, powders and pellets. With it, users can analyze the chemical properties of various plastics.

What’s new? The spectrometer, the latest generation of Thermo Fisher’s Nicolet iS5 platform. The spectrometer is the first to incorporate the company’s OMNIC Paradigm software and LightBar technology — a proprietary, multicolored LED. In addition, the spectrometer also features enhanced internet connectivity, and expanded compatibility with hundreds of spectroscopy accessories.

Benefits Accurate, reproducible data, and ease of use. With the LightBar, users get immediate visual feedback on instrument status and sample pass/fail results. The OMNIC Paradigm software also provides convenience: It generates and displays repeatable workflows onto an intuitive visual interface and offers access to a library of data with multicomponent search functionality.
