MCHigh Output 2500R Movacolor’s newest feeding system is designed for dosing low-density regrind into extruders and injection molding machines. The gravimetric system has an integrated weighing module that doses using the loss-in-weight principle. It can handle granulates and poor-flowing materials, such as PET bottle flakes, at temperatures of up to 356 degrees Fahrenheit.

What’s new? The system, which has been available for the past few months.

Benefits Flexibility and the ability to accurately and consistently add regrind into a material stream that can have a ratio of recycled material to virgin material as high as 3-to-1, without the use of other specialized equipment. Movacolor has designed the modular system so that users can combine it with one or two other gravimetric stations, allowing for the in-line dosing of colors and additives. With the compact, Industry 4.0-ready system, processors can increase the use of recycled materials — even flakes — in their products, saving energy that would otherwise be expended on pelletizing.
