Sept. 23, 2025

A man known as the Swimming Professor and dolphins will greet visitors at Arburg’s booth at the K show in a couple weeks as the company touts its commitment to sustainability.

At the company’s arburgGREENworld pavilion, visitors can watch as an automated turnkey system processes recycled fishing nets into plastic dolphins. Brand ambassador Professor Andreas Fath, dubbed the “swimming professor” because of his epic river swims to bring awareness to water pollution, will also be on hand to discuss plastics’ role in sustainability.

With a total of 18 machine exhibits, highlighting injection molding machines, robotic systems, turnkey systems and control systems, as well as digital products and services, Arburg also will focus on digitalization and automation, along with sustainability.

Among other machines, the exhibits will include an Allrounder Cube 1800 machine producing fully automated two-component closures for the personal care sector and an automated two-component Allrounder More 2000 that produces dominoes for the toy industry.

Slated to open Oct. 8, the K show’s theme this year is “The Power of Plastics: Green - Smart – Responsible.”
