IntElect S IMM line cuts energy usage
IntElect S Sumitomo (SHI) Demag built its IntElect S injection molding machines (IMMs) specifically for high-volume packaging, medical and automotive applications. Sumitomo has positioned the IntElect S line between the conventional IntElect all-electric series and the company’s PAC-E high-speed packaging IMMs. The IntElect S IMMs have been engineered to meet requirements for high processing precision within fast cycle times.
What’s new? Four new mid-size models, with clamping forces of 220 tons, 280 tons, 350 tons and 450 tons.
Benefits Fast ROI. Compared to hybrid machines, the IntElect S uses less energy, potentially saving tens of thousands of dollars per year on energy. It offers processors high-speed production of narrow-tolerance and thin-walled components, with cycle times of 3 to 12 seconds, and injection speeds of up to 13.7 inches per second. Its braking energy-recovery system boosts efficiency and extends the lifespan of electrical components and capacitators.
