KraussMaffei Group announced it has appointed Alexandra Coffey senior sustainability manager.

Coffey joins KraussMaffei from the Schörghuber Group, where she had responsibility for sustainability issues, and prior to that she was director corporate responsibility at Sky Germany.

Coffey reports directly to the Management Board, and her areas of focus will include CO2, single-use plastics, the environment and supply chain sourcing obligations.

KraussMaffei created this position as part of its strategy of becoming a completely sustainable company. The company has set the goal of achieving a corporate carbon footprint of zero and operate all plants worldwide in a CO2-neutral manner by 2030.

“Striving for greater sustainability is an absolute must for us as a leading manufacturer of machinery and equipment for the production and processing of plastics and rubber,” said KraussMaffei board member Jörg Bremer. “We are pursuing ambitious goals in this regard and are positioning ourselves accordingly for the future. We are therefore particularly pleased to have gained a highly experienced sustainability expert in Dr. Alexandra Coffey for an increasingly complex regulatory environment.”

With global headquarters in Munich, KraussMaffei manufactures injection molding, extrusion, automation and reaction process and additive manufacturing machinery.
