New TCUs have smaller footprint

Conair's Thermolator TW-T series can limit maximum setpoint to adapt to plumbing limitations.

TCUs Temperature control units (TCUs) from Conair share features including Incoloy heaters, silicon-carbide pump seals, standard solid-state relays and remote start. Along with many pieces of Conair auxiliary equipment, they have a common HMI control platform, to provide a consistent user experience.

What’s new? The Thermolator TW-T series, which is smaller and has new features. Units in the TW-T series rated at 3 horsepower (hp) and smaller require 15 percent less floor space than earlier TCU designs. The new modulating cooling valve keeps consistent temperature control, even when the TCU is moved between machines, and without the need for valve changes or deadheading.

Benefits Adaptability. The TW-T series’ new dynamic maximum setpoint allows operators with plumbing limitations to adapt, by using the cooling-water supply pressure to limit the maximum setpoint — up to 250 degrees Fahrenheit as a standard limit, with an option to handle up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. The open-back cabinet found on all sizes from 0.75 hp to 10 hp improves air flow around pumps and other internal components, and enables visual maintenance inspection without the need to open cabinet panels.
