Universal Robots sees best-ever Q1
Danish collaborative robot manufacturer Universal Robots reported record first-quarter revenue of $85 million, up 30 percent from the same quarter of 2021.
In January, the company reported annual revenue for 2021 that topped $311 million, which it attributed to manufacturers’ realization that automation can improve productivity while also making up for workforce shortages.
The company’s CFO, Kim Nørgaard Andreasen, said, “Reporting record Q1 revenue at a time when businesses across the world are facing disruption from the pandemic, supply chain challenges and conflict is a testament to the role collaborative automation can play in helping our customers stay competitive.”
