Bulk-Out BFC This system from Flexicon discharges solid materials from bulk bags and features an electric hoist and trolley on a cantilevered I-beam that can lower a lifting frame to be attached to a bag positioned on the floor. Once lifted, the bag’s outlet spout is pulled through an iris valve, which regulates material flow. The station’s hopper can be used with pneumatic or mechanical conveyors, or it can discharge directly into downstream processing equipment.
What’s new? The Bulk-Out BFC, which combines features of multiple Flexicon units into a single system.
Benefits Convenience. The hoist lets users load and adjust bulk bags without the use of a forklift. The unit includes an integral conditioner, which consists of two hydraulic rams positioned on opposite sides of the bag to loosen materials that have solidified during storage and shipment and promote free flow. The dust-tight attachment helps protect plant air quality. The addition of load cells and a programmable controller allow it to be configured for weigh batch discharging.
