CARD Wittmann Battenfeld’s CARD series of compressed-air resin dryers are suited for all types of plastics, including engineering resins, and provide drying temperatures up to 392 degrees Fahrenheit. For use with injection molding machines, the dryers feature several operation modes for different situations. Sleep mode protects the resin from overdrying if the press unexpectedly shuts down. In rampen mode, the dryer raises its temperature in stages to protect sensitive resins from becoming sticky. During start-up, countdown mode sends a signal to the IMM to let it know whether the resin is dry enough. Power mode provides constant drying of highly hygroscopic resins.

What’s new? Packaged solutions. Wittmann Battenfeld has introduced two models, the CARD primus 10 and CARD primus 20, that come packaged with a VacuJet material loader. The CARD primus 10 has a drying silo with a 10-liter capacity, while the CARD primus 20 has a 20-liter capacity. The dryers can be mounted directly onto the machine feed and can be outfitted with quick-change adapters that save time when transferring them from one machine to another.

Benefits Value. Bundling the dryer with a material loader creates an attractive price-to-performance ratio. Additionally, incorporating the VacuJet loader ensures a continuous material supply.
