Engel names López as new managing director in Mexico

The Engel Group announced that Emilio López has been appointed as the new managing director of Engel de Mexico SA de CV, with headquarters in Querétaro, near Mexico City. He replaces Peter Auinger, who retired on Sept. 1.

López has worked for Engel for more than a decade and comes to the new position with an extensive background in sales and management in the plastics and chemicals industries. He studied plastics engineering in Germany.

“We are delighted to have signed up a highly experienced expert for our strategically important market of Mexico – someone who is familiar with the cultural environments of both Latin America and Europe,” said Christoph Steger, Chief Sales Officer of the Engel Group headquartered in Austria. “Mr. López and his team are set to write the next chapter in Engel’s Mexican success story.”

Mexico is Engel’s largest market in Latin America.
