The Palion Tow Tractor Series 8's Smart Path technology uses an improved algorithm for safe transport of loads weighing up to 10,000 pounds.

Palion Tow Tractor This line of autonomous mobile robots (AMR) from Seegrid Corp. has been in operation since 2006, and over the years has logged more than 5 million autonomous miles for a variety of companies. They can automatically hitch and unhitch from payloads and can learn new routes by having a human drive them.

What’s new? Palion Tow Tractor Series 8, which was announced in June. Series 8 comes with enhanced Smart Path technology.

Benefits Safe, efficient transport of materials and goods. Seegrid’s Smart Path technology uses algorithms to combine sensor data with its computer vision system, including a laser scanner, 3-D LiDAR sensors and a rear-facing sensor, to let its AMRs safely navigate through high-traffic facilities. The Series 8 AMR can handle a maximum load of 10,000 pounds. The Palion Series 8 AMR also frees workers to focus on higher-value tasks.
