LinkIQ and LinkIQ-IE Industrial Ethernet connections are increasingly being used to provide communications for automation within factories, and cabling issues are one of the leading causes of service calls. Fluke’s LinkIQ unit provides cable testing, including bandwidth of the cable it’s attached to; information about cable connections, such as if the cable is attached to a switch; and documentation, which can be stored on the tester or uploaded to a PC.

What’s new? LinkIQ, the standard version, and a version with an adapter kit for Industrial Ethernet connectors, designated LinkIQ-IE.

Benefits Ease of use and decreased downtime. While some troubleshooting methods require years of training, the LinkIQ products let the user uncover a range of potential problems with a simple touchscreen interface. With its ability to determine network issues and provide the distance to faults such as shorts and unterminated cables, users can quickly rectify problems and get equipment working again.
