A collaboration between Husky Injection Molding Systems Ltd. and Chem-Trend will make the color change process faster and more accurate for users of Husky’s Altanium injection mold controller operator interface.
The companies said that trial results show that by following the new process instructions they developed together, users can reduce scrap by 85 percent and increase mold cleaning efficiency by 80 percent if they follow the new process instructions the companies developed. The process is optimized for use with Chem-Trend's Ultra Purge compounds.
Headquartered in Bolton, Ontario, Husky supplies injection molding equipment and services. Chem-Trend, based in Howell, Mich., has a product line that includes purge compounds, mold-release agents and products for mold maintenance.
