Dri-Air hopper banks now dry, crystallize amorphous resins

June 3, 2021
The company added a closed-loop dry-air recirculating system for users that need to crystallize and dry multiple batches of PET and other amorphous resins.

Hopper banks Plastics processors use Dri-Air's hopper banks to dry multiple batches of resins for short runs, laboratory applications and production requirements. A variety of hopper sizes is available.

What’s new? A closed-loop dry-air recirculating system for users that need to crystallize and dry multiple batches of PET and other amorphous resins. Temperatures, hold times and recirculating times can be customized for each hopper so that multiple batches of different materials can be processed. The same desiccant dryer that supplies dry air to the hopper bank also crystallizes the resin.

Benefits Flexibility and efficiency. Users can crystallize resins in some hoppers while drying already crystallized resins in others. Eliminating the need for a separate dryer to process the resin after crystallizing saves time and work.
