SV87-KIT Flir’s SV87-KIT combines vibration and temperature sensing in one device that can be used to monitor the health of rotating machinery, industrial pumps, fans, gearboxes and motors. The device can detect minute vibration changes in industrial machinery that can indicate pending problems. For example, in extruders, it can detect issues within the screw-drive motor or within the screw and barrel, potentially flagging pending failure or clogging. In rotational molding, the SV87-KIT can be used to detect changes in the vibration of cooling fans. Maintenance staff can use it to track changes in vibration and heat in real time and as trends, to help predict potentially serious problems before equipment fails. The sensors can be installed on any surface and connect with a Wi-Fi network. Its included remote-monitoring gateway stores sensor data and wirelessly transmits readings in real time to a mobile device or PC. Cost is $999.

What’s new? The SV87-KIT.

Benefits Predictive maintenance. The device helps eliminate maintenance surprises before they happen, maximizing productivity and improving worker safety. It allows staff to prioritize maintenance schedules to maximize efficiency while reducing downtime. Additionally, the device is less expensive and easier to install than traditional wired systems for continuous vibration monitoring.
