Creaform's MetraSCAN Black Elite uses 15 blue laser crosses to perform the functions of a scanner and portable CMM.

MetraSCAN Black Elite This optical 3-D scanner and portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM) from Creaform uses 15 blue laser crosses to perform a variety of tasks, including quality control, inspection and reverse engineering. It employs dynamic referencing to compensate for instabilities common in the shop floor environment, and can accurately scan challenging surfaces, such as those that are shiny or reflective.

What’s new? Increased accuracy. With a measurement resolution of 0.025mm based on testing from an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory, it outperforms its predecessors. It also can begin measuring without requiring warmup time.

Benefits Speed and simplicity. The MetraSCAN Black Elite is built to provide accurate results regardless of the user’s experience level and without requiring a rigid setup. It scans four times faster and with four times more resolution than its predecessor, the MetraSCAN 750, and offers real-time meshing.
