67 MAX clinical infrared thermometer This handheld, noncontact thermometer from Fluke is optimized for measuring human body temperature. Accurate to within plus or minus half a degree Fahrenheit, its built-in Body Mode automatically accounts for the difference between surface skin temperature and core body temperature. Additionally, the device allows the user to scan the forehead for the highest temperature, which improves measurement repeatability, compared to single-spot measurement. The thermometer’s adjustable alarm visually alerts the user when the temperature exceeds a programmed limit. Cost is $199.99.
