Brian T. McGuirk, 69, who had a long career in the plastics industry, died Oct. 28 in Louise, Texas, after a four-year battle with cancer.
Since 2006, McGuirk served as technical sales manager for Neutrex Inc.’s Purgex purging compounds in Houston, where his colleagues referred to him as a walking encyclopedia.
He sold plastics injection molding equipment for LaBelle Industrial Sales of El Paso, Texas, from 1996-2006, and before that he spent five years with Toro – El Paso.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Cheri; daughter Keri McGuirk Jones and husband Jarret of Louise, Texas; daughter Brianne McGuirk Madura and husband Matt of Springfield, Mo.; and six grandchildren.
