Analyzers monitor energy quality, consumption

Sept. 1, 2020
Carlo Gavazzi’s EM50 energy analyzers can be used to provide insight into the energy consumption of specific machines, processes or departments.

EM50 Carlo Gavazzi’s EM50 energy analyzers can be used by plastics processors in submetering applications to provide insight into the energy consumption of specific machines, processes or departments. For example, an injection molding company could use the devices to determine what percentage of its energy costs originate from its presses vs. its dryers. The analyzers also can be used to monitor the quality of the power coming from the electric utility. The EM50 analyzers work with one-, two- and three-phase systems and are compatible with nearly every wiring configuration used in North America. They feature Modbus RTU and BACnet MS/TP communication protocols.

What’s new? The EM50.

Benefits Knowledge. Armed with data from the EM50, users can take actions to reduce energy consumption and improve efficiency. Consequently, the EM50 can be a key component of a master energy plan under ISO 50001.
