Harold G. Schaevitz's new line of resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) are surface mounted.

SMTS-RTD Harold G. Schaevitz has introduced a line of resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) that are surface mounted and have a stainless-steel fitting that can be threaded into a tapped hole. The surface-mount threaded stud (SMTS) RTDs are suited for production environments, testing and R&D. Within the plastics industry, end users and OEMs can affix them to extruder barrels and dies, and to injection molding machine nozzles, hot runners and molds. The devices have a temperature range of minus 50 degrees Fahrenheit to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.

What’s new? The size. The miniature sensors are designed for monitoring temperatures in tight spaces.

Benefits Simple installation and reliable, consistent temperature measurement.
