The In-Sight D900 vision system from Cognex can perform a variety of inline inspection tasks, including defect detection and assembly verification.

In-Sight D900 This new embedded vision system from Cognex can perform a variety of inline inspection tasks, including defect detection, optical character recognition and assembly verification. It is appropriate for automating complex inspections of packaging, consumer products, medical devices, automotive parts and other products. The system combines an In-Sight industrial-grade smart camera with the company’s ViDi deep-learning software. The In-Sight D900 is modular and includes various lenses, filters, covers and lighting options that can be easily changed to customize the system to specific applications. The embedded inference engine allows the system to perform complex deep-learning tasks at production-line speeds.

What’s new? The combination of a camera and deep-learning software.

Benefits The ability to perform complex visual inspections that would be too complicated, time-consuming or costly using humans or rule-based machine vision systems.
