Modular Dorner conveyors are upgraded
What’s new? Numerous upgrades over previous Dorner conveyors. For example, the discharge end of the conveyors now has a pivoting mechanism (inset photo) so users can release tension on the belt. In addition, Dorner has changed the way the motor is mounted on the discharge end.
Benefits Safe operations and flexibility. Changes to the discharge end of the conveyors allow users easier access to switch out motors and clean and maintain the conveyors; they also provide more stability. The conveyor belts have a maximum opening of just 4mm, making them safer for operators and reducing the chance that small objects will fall into areas where they could cause obstructions. The modular belts allow companies to configure their conveyors with as many as four horizontal turns using a single drive motor. Because the belts are symmetrical, users can set up the conveyors to make multiple turns in either direction around a tight radius. With the conveyors, users can create more-compact line layouts and save money on installation, operation and maintenance.
