Pick-it vision system gains updated processor
Pick-it This vision system can guide pick-and-place operations for robots from a wide range of makers, including Universal Robots, Fanuc, ABB and Stäubli. The Pick-it system includes a 3-D camera, a dedicated processor with the company’s user-friendly 3-D picking software and calibration tools.
What’s new? Version 2.0. It comes with an updated processor that boasts an extra graphics processing unit and a central processing unit that is 20 percent faster than previous versions; all cables and hardware needed to hook it up; and the user’s choice of one of four different cameras, including the M-HD 3-D camera, which has four times better resolution and 30 times more precision than previous camera options.
Benefits Faster detection and more accurate picking. The company calls Pick-it 2.0 “future-proof” —meaning it is easy for end users to teach the system to handle new parts, so it will be able to adapt as their needs change over time. The company releases software updates every three months to add new functionality to the system.
