Injection molding machines Engel's stable of injection molding machines includes hydraulic, electric, horizontal and vertical models for applications ranging from precision micro parts to large automotive components.

What's new? Upgraded safety guarding that was introduced at Fakuma in October. The protective components meet the requirements of the latest safety standard for machine guarding, EN ISO 14120, which specifies that the parts withstand the impact of a 198-pound sandbag in a pendulum test. The guarding is modular and includes a wide variety of protective panels, control cabinets, cable conduits and revolving and sliding doors. Engel also has optimized certain components to simplify maintenance. For example, the electronics for the safety doors no longer are located in the door frame, but in easily accessible boxes. The safety guarding is now standard worldwide for all of Engel's automated injection molding production cells as well as all stand-alone injection molding machines that incorporate conveyor belts. When combined with an optional package, the guarding meets requirements for clean room production.

Benefits Flexibility and simple installation. The configuration of the protective components can be adapted easily to changing requirements. In many cases, one person can quickly assemble the safety guarding, which is also easy to clean.
