Scanner from Artec 3D can inspect large parts with accuracy under 1mm

Artec Ray Plastics manufacturers can use this scanner from Artec 3D, Santa Clara, Calif., to inspect large parts, such as components for boats and aircraft, or other molded objects or composite layups. It runs off an internal battery that lasts up to four hours. The device is available through Exact Metrology.
