X-Press welder Sonics & Materials has added a second size for its X-Press all-in-one ultrasonic welder. Featuring a built-in ultrasonic generator and microprocessor, the 15 kilohertz, 2,500-watt unit can weld in either digital-time or constant-energy modes and combines digital amplitude control, ultrasonic horn/stack frequency display, and four different timers: weld, hold, delay, and after-burst.

What's new? The 15 kHz model, which will be shown for the first time in Orlando.

Benefits An affordable, right-sized welding option. The 15 kHz X-Press version is less expensive and has a smaller footprint than non-integrated welding systems, making it perfectly suited for parts that are too large for a 20 kHz welder but too small for a conventional welder.
