APSX-PIM APSX's desktop-sized horizontal injection molding machine can create metal or plastic parts and is ideal for testing, prototyping, product development and low-volume production. It can accommodate a maximum mold size of 4.8 inches by 6 inches, has a footprint of less than 450 square inches, weighs less than 250 pounds and costs $12,500. The press, which can create parts using HDPE, PP, TPO, PS and ABS, has an injection pressure of 5,000 pounds per square inch, a clamping force of 7.5 tons and a maximum shot volume of 1.83 cubic inches.
