FactoryTalk Batch Rockwell Automation's software package helps processors manage any noncontinuous manufacturing operation that requires a sequence of steps, like the processing of a recipe. In plastics factories, such operations can include the mixing of materials or the routing of materials to various equipment. While often installed by original equipment manufacturers, it can be added to equipment already in operation.

What's new? The release of Version 13. Upgrades include interface improvement and the availability of data on a continuous basis so it can be analyzed in real time. Also, the new version minimizes the rework required when manufacturers with small, controller-based batch systems scale up to server-based systems.

Benefits Greater user-friendliness. The upgrades include access to support to help create intuitive workflows, eliminate steps and increase collaboration; users can even access data in real time through mobile devices. In addition, a modern web interface also helps reduce the number of clicks required to access information. Overall, the batch software reduces the complexity of step-by-step processes, especially those involving custom jobs.
