The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) announced that it has added Danielle Fortunato as a new member of its government affairs and advocacy team. Fortunato will serve as director of state government affairs for PLASTICS, and comes to the role with seven years of experience in public service with the New York State Assembly.
Fortunato is a Hofstra University graduate, and currently lives in upstate New York. She served as principal legislative analyst in the Research and Program Development Office, and worked on multiple standing committees, as well as the judiciary committee.
“We are excited to add Danielle to our growing advocacy team at PLASTICS,” said Matt Seaholm, PLASTICS VP of government affairs. “Her experience and enthusiasm are going to be integral to delivering our industry’s message across the Northeast. We expect some very busy upcoming legislative sessions, and Danielle is hitting the ground running.”
