Purging compounds clean up on color and material changes
CP-P-EC2, CP-H-EC2, CP-LPA These Clean Plast purging compounds from RGL can be used for color or material changes to remove burned resin, deposits and black specks from machine screws, barrels, heads and dies. Both EC2 grades are chemical compounds that come in a ready-to-use pellet form and are safe to run through hot-runner manifolds, valve gates and tips. The CP-LPA grade is a liquid that works with most processes. It can be added via liquid-color delivery systems or directly into a machine.
What’s new? The compounds. CP-P-EC2 works at temperatures from 338 degrees Fahrenheit to 572 degrees Fahrenheit with PVC, ethylene vinyl alcohol, HDPE, PP and similar resins. CP-H-EC2 works from 374 degrees Fahrenheit to 608 degrees Fahrenheit with polyamide, PC, ABS, styrene acrylonitrile, PVC and similar resins. CP-LPA works with most resins at temperatures up to 750 degrees Fahrenheit.
Benefits Cost savings. According to the company, all three grades are an economical choice when used regularly. Also, they use no regrind, making them safe for precision machined parts and polished surfaces.
