W1300 SML’s new turret winder produces rolls with a diameter of up to 4.9 feet of premium chlorinated PP (CPP), chlorinated PE (CPE), mono-oriented and barrier films. It attains winding speeds of up to 1,476 feet per minute and handles film widths from about 7.9 feet to 12.8 feet. The winder can work in either gap mode or contact mode. Before the film hits the contact roller, it runs over a continuously adjustable satellite roller, to control the air intake between the individual film layers and to adjust the hardness of the film roll. Two cross-cutting units are available: a full-width twisting knife for thinner films and a flying knife for thicker films and oriented films. Handling systems are available for shaftless winding and for winding with shafts. During a roll change, auxiliary contact rollers keep the film in perfect condition.
What’s new? The W1300.
Benefits Fast, efficient, extended production runs of jumbo rolls of premium-quality films. The stand-alone winder can be retrofitted or installed on third-party cast film lines, since it comes with its own control system and electrical components.
