High-speed cutter/puller systems Versa Machinery supplies equipment capable of feeding, measuring and cutting extruded plastic and rubber parts, including tubing and profiles, to exact lengths. Factoring in line speed and cut length input by an operator, the systems’ Adaptive Cutting Technology makes the necessary calculations to determine the best cutting mode for each application. Rollers or caterpillar belts then grip the material to be cut and push it through closely spaced bushings under a knife. Bushings are available in sizes to match the diameter of the material being cut. One set of bored bushings or two sets of blank bushings are provided with each machine.
What’s new? Servo controls for the in-feed and cutting mechanisms, available over the last several months. Complete cutter/puller systems include a servo-controlled cutter, a servo-controlled pinch roller or caterpillar feeder, with integral cut length and batch controls.
