MP Linescanner Series Fluke’s new line of scanners delivers non-contact thermal imaging and analysis at high speeds, allowing manufacturers to detect temperature anomalies such as hot spots and to better control continuous, moving processes. Applications within the plastics industry include blown film extrusion, cast film extrusion, sheet extrusion, extrusion coating, thermoforming, plastic laminating and embossing. MP Linescanner Series scanners can measure up to 1,024 temperature points across a scan line at a rate of up to 300 lines per second, allowing users to automate temperature measurements and ensure product quality. The scanners feature rotating optics, a 90-degree field of view and built-in Ethernet TCP/IP communications.
What’s new? The MP Linescanner Series, which consists of two models, the MP150, which has a maximum optical scan rate of 150 Hertz (Hz), and the MP300, which has a maximum scan rate of 300 Hz.
Benefits Accuracy and durability. With an internal line laser for accurate alignment, the scanners provide continuous, precise edge-to-edge thermal images and temperature measurements. They have a rugged, waterproof enclosure and an air purge function to keep the device’s window free of dirt and condensation. Also, the devices can be used in ambient temperatures up to 356 degrees Fahrenheit due to built-in water cooling.
