Parkinson Technologies marks 150th anniversary

Established in 1871 by a young English machinist named Edward Parkinson, the company that bore his name became known for offerings that included a knitting machine, a weft fork for looms and a bobbin winder for sewing machines.

And though the name and product line have both evolved over the years, Parkinson Technologies Inc. is now celebrating its 150^th anniversary, which today includes the Parkinson Winders, Marshall and Williams Plastics, Key Filters and Dusenbery Converting Systems brands.

Based in Woonsocket, R.I., Parkinson Technologies designs and manufactures large-scale web handling, winding and plastics processing equipment.
