Established in 1871 by a young English machinist named Edward Parkinson, the company that bore his name became known for offerings that included a knitting machine, a weft fork for looms and a bobbin winder for sewing machines.
And though the name and product line have both evolved over the years, Parkinson Technologies Inc. is now celebrating its 150th anniversary, which today includes the Parkinson Winders, Marshall and Williams Plastics, Key Filters and Dusenbery Converting Systems brands.
Based in Woonsocket, R.I., Parkinson Technologies designs and manufactures large-scale web handling, winding and plastics processing equipment.
