After 45 years, barrel maker Wexco Corp. will close its doors. A statement from President and CEO D.K. Weber said the Lynchburg, Va., producer of bimetallic and trimetallic barrels for extruders and injection molding machines will cease operations on June 28.
The company expects to complete and ship any outstanding customer orders by mid-May. The company is working with its employees to find them new jobs, and with customers to help find other sources of supply.
