Genesis series Integrated Control Technologies (ICT) has partnered with extruder maker American Kuhne, York, Pa., to create this new line of film extruders. The extruders feature a graphical interface that is easy for users to learn to operate. It offers advanced diagnostics and remote monitoring. ICT is handling sales of the new machines.

What's new? The series, which comprises 15 sizes and multiple configuration options.

Benefits Safety and flexibility. Because even novices can use them, machines in the Genesis series offer a number of safety features, including the ability to take action if there's a problem. For example, if a solid-state relay shorts out and operators ignore the resulting alarm, the system will shut down to prevent a fire. Plant managers can view the extruders' screens from a desktop, laptop, phone or tablet, and ICT can support the Genesis remotely to minimize downtime.
