Log Virtus Equipment has entered the primary machine market with Log-branded machines from Ningbo Chuangji Machinery Co. Ltd., Yuyao, China. Featuring components from well-known suppliers including Keba, Bosch Rexroth and Schneider Electric, the machines are available in two versions — the A8 and S8. The A8s are all-hydraulic units, while the more expensive S8s use servo hydraulics. Both versions are available in sizes ranging from 90 tons to 4,850 tons of clamping force. The 16 smallest models of both versions, ranging up to about 2,400 tons, can be delivered within eight weeks of being ordered; the bigger units require longer turnaround times. All the machines offer a choice of three or four screw diameters and injection volumes. A servo-hydraulic unit is shown; the 210 on its nameplate represents 210 metric tons, or about 231 tons.
