Extruder is user-friendly and versatile

SV250 Milacron's new single-screw extruder can perform a range of applications, including making sheet, fiber, wire, cable, tubes and profiles. It comes in sizes ranging from 2 to 4.5 inches and has an L:D ratio of 24:1. It has cast fin aluminum heaters; an air-cooled, bimetallic barrel; three-piece die clamp; and stainless steel hopper. The Matrix machine control features of a 10.1-inch high-definition touch screen; ports for USB and Ethernet; and parameter trending with spreadsheet capabilities.
