Davis-Standard's 90mm extruder features an innovative feed-screw design for handling acidic copolymers.

90mm extruder Engineered for applications that require high temperatures or specialty resins, Davis-Standard's 90mm extruder features an innovative feed-screw design for handling acidic copolymers. It can handle about 550 pounds per hour and is suited for extrusion coating for melt temperatures in excess of 570 degrees Fahrenheit.

What's new? The extruder frame and controls. At the K show later this month, Davis-Standard plans to show the updated extruder paired with its quick screw-exchange adapter.

Benefits Improved melt homogeneity and simplified maintenance. The extruder's new design gives operators easier access to the heating elements and provides additional space for them to perform work on the machine. It features computer-designed feed screws that provide reliable melt homogeneity, which results in better bonding between the polymer and materials such as aluminum foil.
