MasterCast With a new film width of about 20 feet, the MasterCast film line is the world's widest for cast stretch film, maker SML says. The triple turret winder, which is based on patented technology, can produce 12 20-inch rolls at a time. SML says the winder is key to manufacturing such wide film. The machine has a net hourly output of about 9,900 pounds of film.
What's new? The machine, which was introduced earlier this year.
Benefits High output, energy efficiency and ease of operation. The MasterCast line has the flexibility to produce both large machine rolls and small hand-wrap rolls. By reducing the percentage of edge trim, the line's width reduces energy consumption and improves film quality.
