Liquid injection machine ideal for clean-room, medical applications

Microlim LSR machine This new hybrid servo-pneumatic liquid injection molding machine, offered by Wabash MPI, a company of the ACS Group, New Berlin, Wis., is designed for short runs involving shot sizes of less than 1 cubic centimeter (cc) to 15 cc. It can perform two-part liquid-silicone rubber molding. Wabash says it is ideal for clean-room and medical molding applications. Measuring 47 inches by 47 inches by 78 inches, the machine features a patented plunger design with center shut-off nozzle and a clamp force of up to 17 tons. 

What's new? The machine, which made its debut last month at the International Elastomer Conference in Cleveland.

Benefits Simplicity and shot-to-shot accuracy. Equipped with a standard Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI, the machine is easy to operate and maintain. In addition, the injection head is easy to change and clean.
