Ube to double its press capacity at Michigan plant

Ube Machinery Inc. is expanding its assembly facility at its Ann Arbor, Mich., headquarters, which will more than double its capacity for mid- to large-sized injection molding machines. Presses made at the plant include all-electric, servo-hydraulic-toggle and two-platen, servo-hydraulic machines. Scheduled for completion in September, the project will help Ube meet demand from U.S. companies for the machines, which offer a small footprint and are used to manufacture a wide range of parts.
