Moretto USA continues to ramp up its presence in North America by stocking spare parts at its facility in Columbus, Ohio.
The U.S. arm of Italian auxiliary equipment maker Moretto SpA, Massanzago, Italy, was launched in December 2014. Gene Flockerzi was hired as GM for the North American operation late last year.
"We are investing in people and parts," Flockerzi said. "We have just unloaded the first shipping container of spare parts with many more to come. All of our spare parts needs will be serviced out of Columbus."
Flockerzi said that Moretto has more than $1 million in equipment inventory in Columbus and expects to nearly triple that amount. He said all Moretto equipment with throughputs of up to 500 pounds per hour will be available in Columbus.
Moretto now has six full-time employees in the U.S. and recently added 12 independent sales representatives. The company is searching for another regional sales manager and expects to add 12 sales representatives this summer. "We are trying to grow methodically," Flockerzi said.
