STS Mc11 Coperion has upgraded its STS Mc11 series of twin-screw extruders, which are targeted at masterbatch production and come in five models with screw diameters ranging from 35mm to 96mm.

What's new? Numerous features that are tailored to the masterbatch industry and were shown for the first time at the K show on a machine with a screw diameter of 35mm. The machine's new manifold has coaxial solenoid valves, the heat covers have been improved, and the feed hopper now has quick-release clamps. The CSpro basic control system, a feature of Coperion's ZSK series extruders, is now standard for the STS Mc11 line. Additionally, Coperion designed a new die head specifically for masterbatch applications.

Benefits Reliability and simpler operation. The die head allows the strands to flow evenly without dead zones, the redesigned heat covers enable easier access to the processing section, and the quick-release clamps make it simple to replace the feed hopper.
