NuTec completes upgrade of medical assembly line

NuTec Tooling Systems Inc., Meadville, Pa., has completed the 11th upgrade of a medical assembly automation project undertaken in conjunction with a major medical device supplier. Since the companies began their collaboration, the device supplier has invested several million dollars in the assembly line, which consists of six automation stations, including two of NuTec's proprietary TrayTender automated tray loading and unloading machines.

Built to assemble and test sophisticated medical devices, the line can produce a device every 9 seconds and can be configured to handle multiple variations of the product.
