Athena Automation boosts injection press shipments

Athena Automation Ltd., Vaughan, Ontario, expects to double the number of injection molding machines it ships in 2016, from 16 in 2015. Some of those machines will be repeat orders, mainly for PET preform and closure applications. Athena also is expanding its product offerings with multimaterial cube molding and rotary tables, as well as an injection molding machine with 506 tons of clamping force.

Additionally, the company said it now offers preventive maintenance plans that extend the warranty on its machines.
