Schneider Packaging Equipment Co., Brewerton, N.Y., has opened a training lab at its headquarters in upstate New York.
The company makes equipment that is used at the end of production lines, such as case packing, sealing and palletizing units. This allows Schneider to offer training on everything from PLCs to robots, officials said. The company trains customers in a classroom environment with a training cell and structured labs so that participants know the equipment thoroughly before it is delivered to their factory.
The robotic training cell includes an introduction to Schneider robots and general Fanuc robots and information about unit load creation using pallet generation software and troubleshooting robots. The PLC training includes introductions to PLCs and Schneider PLC logic; and information about troubleshooting PLCs and HMI fundamentals. Servo-motor training includes an introduction to servos and troubleshooting.
