RelaDyne LLC, a Blue Ash, Ohio, company specializing in machine lubrication, has announced that it is now able to perform its varnish-mitigation services on all types of hydraulic injection molding machines.
Product manager Doug Muennich said the company, which has partnered with Milacron LLC, Cincinnati, has applied for a patent for its process of identifying and tailoring removal treatments for oil buildup in plastics machinery. He said the process — in which a RelaDyne specialist performs work onsite — takes 12 to 48 hours, and requires no machinery shutdowns. After the site visit, Muennich said RelaDyne maintains a relationship with its clients, performing testing every six months to identify and prevent problems in the future. Left unchecked, oil buildup can lead to machinery failures and the production of bad parts, he said.
