Graham Engineering touts strong start to new year

Feb. 24, 2016

Machinery maker Graham Engineering Corp., York, Pa., has exited its Ashaway, R.I., facility where it had assembled extruders, and transferred the work to York, along with its American Kuhne brand.

Graham has set up an engineering and sales office in North Stonington, Conn., less than 5 miles from the Ashaway site, which was listed for sale in December.

"Ongoing growth in our extrusion business caused us to outgrow the Ashaway facility," said CEO David Schroeder.

The company also reported record shipments during the fourth quarter. On Feb. 17, officials announced that the company had shipped 14 projects from York and the last project from Ashaway shipped that same week.
